John Metzger, CFP®, AEP®
John came to San Diego almost 30 years ago after receiving his Economics degree from the College of William and Mary in Virginia, where he played on the William & Mary men's soccer team. He spent several years as Vice President at Fidelity Investments as a Senior Account Executive and then as Vice President at JP Morgan Chase as a Private Client Advisor, specializing in complex financial planning for high net worth and ultra-high net worth clients. John has a background in business development for small businesses and has helped partners form and develop multiple C-Corps, S-Corps and LLC's across different industries and is well-versed on the financial needs of business owners and their families.
John acts as a fiduciary and is a CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™, AEP®, and is a member of Mensa International. He has held theSeries 7, 63, 66 securities industry designations as well as California Life and Health insurance licenses. Of particular interest for John is forming lasting relationships with clients and their families, acting as a loyal advocate, and educating them on ways to both protect and grow their assets.
John lives in South Park in San Diego and is married to Lissa, with two active children, Sienna and Joey, and has coached both their soccer teams in the AYSO program. He has served on the AYSO Board as Club Director for the competitive soccer program in his community for many years and has been on the Board of the La Jolla Shores Association and Friends of La Jolla Shores.
